Moeller
Overview
The principle of innovation and future security of investment has been implemented by the new circuit-breaker series up to 1600 A
-
Four switches with four levels of switching capacity
Four switches with four universal levels of switching capacity form a comprehensive range, from the competitively priced 25 kA for small sub-distribution boards, up to 150 kA switching capacity for complex high-power systems. The compact construction of the new small 160 A switch saves space as a main switch in machine control schemes, as an incomer in service distrib ution boards or as an outgoer in power distribution boards. Additional device levels are 300 A, the particularly compact 630 A, and the large 1600 A circuit-breaker
- Highest level of performance in a compact space
The circuit-breakers NZM1 and NZM2 can be loaded with up to 160 A/300 A rated current and safely switch off short-circuit currents up to 150 kA even with their narrowest design
- Ideas for greater performance – the contact system, for example
Innovative switching technology with a double-break contact system speeds up the switching process. In the event of a short circuit, the special shape and materials selected produce repelling magnet power that pushes the contacts apart in a fraction of a sine wave. Switching capacities up to 150 kA and operational voltages up to 690 V can be managed without difficulty. The simultaneous reduction in heat dissipation creates benefits for use in control panels
- System benefits also with Universal Accessories
The mode of operation and fitting of the accessories is identical for every size. Contact elements from the RMQ-Titan range of control circuit devices are used for the entire NZM range of circuit-breakers. This ensures a reduction in the variety of types, a decrease in ordering expense and effort and consequently, simpler stock-keeping.
The contact elements can be simply clipped in from the front. The position determines the function: signalling contact or trip-indicating auxiliary contact
Variable Operation - toggle, turn, automatic operation
-
The actuator – toggle or rotate
The new range of circuit-breakers is actuated as standard using the tried and tested toggle lever. Three switch positions On, Off and Tripped indicate the status of the device. For typical disconnector applications, where no voltage release is required, Moeller offers competitivelypriced PN switch-disconnectors with switch position indication 0 and 1.
Depending on individual requirements, toggling can be converted to a rotary movement by fitting a rotary operator. When using the main- or Emergency-Stop switch with a rotary handle, it can be locked using up to three padlocks. The rotary handles are also available in red/yellow for Emergency-Stop functions
-
The door coupling rotary handle – for uniform, flexible solutions
The base plate is the same for every door coupling rotary handle, this means faster fitting due to the identical drilling diagram. The switches can also be fitted vertically or horizontally in the control panel.
-
Operator on rear
The innovative rear operator for 3-pole circuit-breakers and switch-disconnectors provides an attractively priced and compact method to fit switches and door rotary handles as a mounting unit in control panel enclosure side panels. Typical areas of application are main switches with or without Emergency-Stop functions up to 250 A rated current, in processing machines with limited space availability. In addition to the optical benefits of the externally "invisible" fixing, this solution also offers simple and fast access to terminals, setting buttons, voltage release and auxiliary contacts.
The UL/CSA approval ensures world-wide use of the components – even on the North American market
-
Side operator – the main type
Up to 630 A, the side wall operator enables the switch to be operated from the right or left hand side as desired. Optional fitting of our mou nting bracket results in optimum use of space in the control panel. The mounting plate can thus be used for other machine control elements

The remote operators – simple, uniform operation
The concept of uniform functions brings about simpler operation for all remote operators. The spring-powered actuator permits closing delays of 60 or 100 ms, thereby also allowing application in the field of synchronization. Short fu nction sequences and fewer parts ensure a high degree of stability and a long service life. Safety is also emphasized here by the sealing option for the Auto function and by the facility for padlocking the remote operator
