Phase Sequence Monitoring with a Compact Device
The EMR4-F500-2 phase sequence relay with its compact 22.5 mm width is used for monitoring the clockwise rotation of movable motors for which the phase sequence is important, such as with pumps, saws, drilling machines. Benefits: Additional space in the control panel thanks to the narrow width Protection against damage by means of phase sequence monitoring
A clockwise phase sequence causes the changeover contact to enable the control voltage for the motor switchgear. The EMR4-F500-2 covers the entire voltage range from 200 V AC to 500 V AC
Features
- Phase sequence detection
- Phase loss detection at U < 0.6 x Ue
- LED status indication
- The relay has its own power supply, i.e. an additional supply voltage is not required
The relay features a second changeover contact that is used for indication purposes
For Universal Use
The EMR4-I current monitors are suitable for both AC and DC monitoring tasks. The selectable lower or upper tripping limit means that they can be used for the underload or overload monitoring of pumps and drilling machines.
They are available in two versions, each with three measuring ranges (30/100/1000 mA, 1.5/5/15 A). The multi-voltage coil allows these relays to be used for a wide range of applications. The second changeover contact is provided for direct status indication.
Selective bridging of transitory current peaks
The on-delay can be selected between 0.05 s – 30 s in order to bridge transitory current peaks.
Features
- On-delay 0.5 s – 30 s
- LED status indication
- Measuring range 0.003 A –1 A or 0.3 A –15 A
- Measuring range can be extended with current transformer or shunts
The relay features a second changeover contact that is used for indication purpose
Like rotary switches, P switch disconnectors are manually operated switching devices without any release or switch mechanism but with a direct link between manual operating element and the contact. The contacts are positively opened on de-energization, and the auxiliary contacts are interlocked opposing contacts.
Switchable "N conductors" and/or "HI21 auxiliary contacts" can be connected to the P1, P3, or P5 switch disconnector with a make and break contact. The auxiliary make contact is always switched as a load shedding contact for control of the contactor. In this manner, the contactor assumes the switching task and the switch-disconnector only needs to disconnect the main current circuit
Typical application for P switch disconnectors, e.g:
Maintenance, repair and safety switch
P switch disconnectors are particularly suitable as safe maintenance and repair switches or as enclosed main switches for individual electrical loads.
Multiple padlocks can be connected in the OFF position. This provides a vital safety function: the no-voltage state is visible and switch on is impossible.
ON/OFF switch
P switch disconnectors provide reliable operation with heating and lighting systems, motors, etc. They are also suited for direct switching of motors. Selection of the switch is performed to suit the rated uninterrupted current or the motor rating in accordance with utilization category AC-23A. In applications where frequent switch on and off operations are necessary, the high switching capacity guarantees reliability.
Equipment for use in dust explosion hazardous areas
Moeller now offers T rotary switches (from 20 A to 100 A) and P switch-disconnectors (from 25 A to 100 A) conform to the ATEX directive 94/9 EC from 01.07.2003.
The devices are marked with equipment designation EX II3D IP5X T90°C (Dust-EX) and are Ex-zone 22 approved for use in dust explosion hazardous areas.
Safety in dust explosion hazardous areas
Processes require power. You now have these ATEX switches from Moeller to satisfy the demands of your customers with regard to main switch, maintenance switch and manual override switch requirements in their machines and systems.
The installation and application notes for use in machines and systems must be observed
The fields of applications for ATEX switches include all manufacturing fields where deposits of dust are an issue. These include, for example: Mills, facilities where metals are ground as well as the wood processing, cement or aluminum industries.
Control circuit devices from the RMQ-Titan® range can be combined with the LS-Titan® switches – an innovation: Pushbuttons, mushroom actuators, selector switches, keyswitch actuators and emergency-stop actuators can be snapped onto every position switch as operating heads.
The entire front and rear sides of the unit have at least IP 66 enhanced degree of protection. This solution opens a whole new range of applications. With the combination of position switch and control circuit device, there results for the first time a control device which possesses a defined snap-action operating behaviour. Operation is initiated by the control circuit device, the abrupt switch change acts on the contact system of the position switch.
The complete unit has very compact external dimensions ensuring space availability for it in any machine or system.
The operating heads can be fitted in all four directions (4 x 90°) and quickly and easily installed with a bayonet catch.
The particular mounting advantage: After the position switch has been fitted, the operating head can be correctly adjusted to suit the required direction of motion without problems
The fuly insulated plastic housing conforms to protection class II. Thus, they are simple to install and do not require a protective earth terminal. This saves wiring time and precious tooling time.
Die-cast metal enclosures (protection class I) are available for applications in harsh operation environments. Enclosures of this nature are particularly suitable for welding systems, as they are resistant to airborne sparks.
All basic units have standardized sizes and are conform to the EN 50047 standard. The operating heads can be rotated through 4 x 90 degrees and can be combined with every basic unit. Equipped with double-break contacts, they are also suitable for use in the configuration of redundant safety circuits.
The termination's are equipped with maintenance-free and vibration protected cage-clamp termination's. The largest terminal capacity allows the connection of solid and flexible connection cables with conductor cross-sections from 0.08 to 2.5 mm².
